The causes of cystic acne adult

A lot of people confused as to what the causes of adult cystic acne can be, especially because it is a condition that has always been linked only to adolescents. The truth is that even adults who have never had before problems can suffer a sudden attack with little or no warning.

So the question is what are the possible causes of adult cystic acne?

In fact, there are a number of reasons why an adult would suddenly and unexpectedly be with this uncomfortable condition.

Hormonal imbalances are a common cause of acne in adults. Research has clearly shown that when the hormonal balance in the body suddenly changes can cause acne. These results seem to be supported by the finding that pregnant women and those who go through menopause are those that seem most likely to suddenly develop pimples.

This is the two adult groups that usually go by the most radical changes in hormone levels. It is believed that this triggers an equally sudden increase of sebum in the pores and this is what causes cystic acne to break suddenly.

In other occasions suffering from this disease tend to focus on themselves. They do this when they start poking out black and white dots on their skin. This is usually done with the nails on the fingers. The result of the damage and the spread of bacteria and if the infection is severe and result quite common and a severe case of cystic acne in adults could be the result at the end of the day.

exercise is a good thing not only for the body but also for the skin. But too much of it could result in acne. If your exercise routine is sudden and drastic probably hoping to get a lot of weight very quickly, it could lead to sudden changes in the hormonal make-up of the body causing a sudden outbreak of acne, even if you are mature enough and well beyond the age where this condition is common.

Sometimes hormonal changes caused by the menstrual cycle of a woman can be enough to trigger a serious bout of acne. We already know that many women tend to develop a button or two days before they have their monthly period.

This is usually caused by the body’s estrogen levels decline at a time when her progesterone is rising. This hormonal imbalance can cause the sebaceous glands to produce more oil than normal and this is what produces the pimple or two. However in extreme entire adult cystic acne may result.

Other times and environmental toxins that the body is exposed to could result in adults get acne. When toxins and waste products build up in the body and are not expelled in time, problems are inevitable.

Usually, the body has a number of ways to get rid of toxins which comprises treating the kidneys, liver, colon, small intestine and so on. This brings us to another cause of acne in adults.

If for some reason one or more of these bodies “cleansing” is not working properly, then what will happen is that the toxins accumulate in the body and when the usual methods to expel become insufficient, the body will try to flush out the “poison” through the pores of the skin. Of course what will happen is that wounds and painful pimples will start to appear on the surface of the skin. This is of course acne.

Yet another cause of adult cystic acne is a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome. It is a disease that affects up to 10 percent of all women as irregular menstruation is one of the most common symptoms. Women with this condition tend to have serious imbalances in their hormone levels and when it is treated the acne usually disappear.

Surprisingly even some medications are known to cause adult cystic acne. Medications that are anti-epileptics and anabolic steroids are among some of them.

Even physical pressure and friction on the skin can cause acne in adults. This includes the straps of a backpack that is too heavy or even play the violin when the instrument is placed next to the jaw or chin.

All these are some of the many causes of cystic acne and adult condition is certainly not limited only to the very young.
